Information, not advice
MillBrief publishes general information for manufacturers evaluating automation. It is not engineering, safety, legal, financial, or tax advice, and it cannot account for your parts, your line, or your site. Before you commit money or change a process, get advice from qualified people who can assess your application.
Prices, figures, and tools
Every price and figure is an editorial estimate drawn from the named sources on each page, as of the date shown. Prices change, vary by region, and depend on configuration. Our calculators and generators work from the numbers you enter plus our published presets; their output is a planning estimate, not a quote and not a promise of savings. Always confirm against itemized quotes for your own application.
Safety
Nothing on MillBrief is a risk assessment or a safety sign-off. Whether a robot can work without fencing, and what guarding a cell needs, depends on the specific application and must be assessed by competent people under the machinery safety standards and laws that apply where the cell will run.
Company claims and outside links
Our briefs report what companies announce, and we attribute those claims to the company that made them. MillBrief does not test equipment. We link to outside sites so you can check our sources; we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
Contributed pieces
Field Notes and Shop Reports carry a disclosure of any commercial relationship. Where a piece carries a contributor's byline, the judgments in it are the contributor's own; its figures are still checked and sourced to our standard before it runs. Publishing a contributor does not mean MillBrief endorses their firm, products, or services.
Trademarks
Company and product names are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to identify the products we discuss. MillBrief is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any company it covers.
Images and video
Charts and stat cards on MillBrief are drawn by us from the sources cited on the page. Third-party photos are used under the licence named in each caption, with the author and source credited; where we crop or resize a photo licensed under CC BY-SA, the modified version is shared under the same licence. Embedded videos and their preview images load from YouTube and remain the property of their owners.

Copyright concerns and errors

Our practice is to remove or correct material we cannot show we have the right to use. Errors of fact go to the same address and are handled under our corrections policy.
